Finding a good place to board your dog can be a stressful task. For some people, myself included, dogs are a part of the family and must be treated and cared for as such. The place needs to be safe, dependable, reliable, and above all else - they must love your dog at least as much as you do. This means giving them room to play, feeding them treats and maybe the occasional snuggle. My boyfriend and I have tried a few places where I have an immediate attack of panic and anxiety as we drive away, but D Pet Hotels has put us (and our pet) at ease. Did I mention that we also have the added challenge of finding a place that will accept our very large St. Bernard? D Pet Hotels didn’t even bat an eye - ‘St. Bernard? No problem!’.

You can find them at 1041 N. Highland in Los Angeles. They have different size suites available and three dog parks (large, medium and pint-sized dog areas). Farley has stayed here for several nights and has also gone just for daycare (hey - if we’re going to Disneyland, he should get to do something fun, too). Don’t stress if you forget anything - they have the D Boutique in-house for food, treats, and almost anything else your little munchkin might need. They also have drop-off and pick-up available - which we take full advantage of. Have you ever had a St. Bernard in your car? It’s no picnic. Don’t even get me started on the grooming facility. If they can get our Farley clean, combed and smelling good, then they can handle anything.
But most important of all - Farley absolutely loves it. When they come to pick him up, he can’t wait to get in the car. He doesn’t even get that excited when we come home! When the doorbell rings, he knows exactly what is going on and can barely contain himself. I know he’s thinking ‘You’ll be gone for five days? Yeah, whatever - outta my way!’ To know that he will be in good hands is all that matters. Try to say no to that face - I dare you.
